The EULiST Digital Campus is a collaborative system shared by EULiST universities and partners, designed to facilitate teaching, research and cooperation in a virtual environment, overcoming the geographical distances between our physical campuses.

At the core of the EULiST Digital Campus, there is a portal that integrates public and private tools, applications, and systems, streamlining access to shared resources. As outlined in the EULiST project proposal, the Digital Campus will feature a course catalogue, interconnected learning management systems, and a comprehensive knowledge hub.

Key components of the EULiST Digital Campus framework include:

  • Portal with its common authentication, user profiles, and personalized dashboard, provides a friendly graphical user interface integrating the following tools and systems.
  • Education: EULiST Agora for Education embraces the course catalogue, student and learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Stud.IP, and Canvas, virtual classrooms), and internship platform, with an emphasis on project-based learning. All these will be supported by various AI-tools helping students and teachers with learning and teaching at various levels.
  • EULiST Digital Knowledge Hub levels up data sharing to knowledge exchange, enabling collaboration and best practices sharing across institutions. Customized systems such as the Open Educational Resource Index (https://oersi.org/resources/) and the Open Research Knowledge Graph (https://orkg.org/), will form part of this hub. A solid foundation, supported by a Digital Library and an Open Science Data Inventory, will underpin the hub’s operation.
  • Sustainability of our campuses is a cross-cutting priority for EULiST, and tools will be developed to assist in monitoring and reducing campus carbon footprints, using 3D campus models for calculating.
  • EULiST Research and Innovation Academy will foster collaboration in critical research fields, connecting young scientists and enabling the sharing of unique research infrastructures, to advance sustainability and contribute to societal well-being.

Obviously, the EULiST Digital Campus is currently under development. Your input on its design is invaluable – please take a moment to provide feedback through our survey.
